Second KoMSO Academy on 'Torch Physics: Deep Learning for PDEs'

Berlin, 15 November 2024

34 participants took part in the second KoMSO Academy in the co-working space of the Werner-von-Siemens-Centre. It was jointly organised by KoMSO, University of Bremen, Bosch, Werner-von-Siemens-Centre, Steinbeis and TU Berlin.
For two days, participants from industry, research institutes and universities were trained in the latest methods of how neural networks can be used to solve physical problems. The developers of the TorchPhysics tool suite trained the participants in the use of the software. There were also presentations on the latest state of the art from recognised experts.

Successful KoMSO Academy on 'Torch Physics: Deep Learning for PDEs' held at the Academy of Sciences in Heidelberg

Heidelberg, 13 November 2023

Last week, KoMSO Acdemy hosted an exciting workshop on 'Deep Learning for Partial Differential Equations (PDEs)' at the Academy of Sciences in Heidelberg. Set in the charming Old Town, we were hosted kindly and most professionally in the Academy's historic building.

From November 7- 8, 2023, we dove into fascinating talks, exploring AI applications at Bosch and diving deep into modeling a manufacturing process using TorchPhysics, especially in injection molding. But the real heart of the event? Getting everyone comfortable with TorchPhysics.

The hands-on sessions were a true success. It was genuinely impressive to see participants tackle complex tasks with ease. Day two kept the good vibes rolling - focused minds, relaxed atmosphere, and everyone diving into intriguing examples. All in all, it was a pleasure, and we're already sketching out plans for a next round in 2024!

Looking forward, to the next KoMSO academy, coming up in 2024!
